Page history last edited by PBworks 15 years, 3 months ago

1. Connect to the Internet and open your web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator is recommended)

2. Go to the url: http://courses.mwcc.edu

3. Blackboard account usernames are created using a combination of first name, last name, and student id. For example:

    • Joan Carter has a student id of 123456789. Her username will be constructed from her first initial, the first 3 letters of her last name, and the last 4 digits of her student id: jcar6789@mwcc.edu
    • The initial password for Joan’s account is constructed from her first and last initials and the first 4 digits of her student id: jc1234
    • When names contain special characters, the special characters are removed to construct the user id and password. Special characters are symbols such as periods, apostrophes, or dashes.

4. Once you are logged in, you will see your course(s) listed under “My courses.” Click on the course title you wish to enter.

5. Students may change their Blackboard password once they enter by clicking on the Student Tools button on the left side of the page. Next choose “Personal Information” and “Change Password.”

All students have been given an MWCC email account to which all information for this course will be sent. Students may easily redirect email from their MWCC accounts to any other email address that they designate.

  1. To receive MWCC email, a student should log onto http://mail.mwcc.edu with the original user name and password used for Blackboard access.
  2. To automatically redirect email to another account, click on the box that says “Rules” at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll down to the area that says “Redirect all mail to:” and click on the check box next to the title. Then type in the address you want the mail redirected to and click on “update.”

  1. Select mwcc web services (upper left hand corner)
  2. Select Web Connect-Registration, Student Records, Financial Aid, Bill Payment
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to Log in to your personal record. (If you are unable to log-in, you must contact Diane Jeffreys, x373)
  4. Once you have logged into your account, select Student Services and Financial Aid
  5. Select Registration
  6. Select Student Schedule by Day and Time
